2019 In Words – M L Wood

Here are some prose and poems of mine from 2019.

“How bewildering it is to look into your own eyes and see such sorrow.”

“She loves the simplest things in life.

Freshly bloomed flowers and the sound of rain on her roof at night.

Yet, she chose me, a broken thing.”

“I was born free, I do not remember when i became shackled by my own false truths.”

“I do not fear my own death,

I fear never again seeing you smile,

or feeling your warm embrace.”

“A willingness to be a fool is a precursor to transformation.”

“Don’t die without any scars, this is your life and it is ending one minute at a time.”
